Iedereen wilt tegenwoordig uniek zijn. Dit kan natuurlijk op ontelbare manieren. Wat veel mensen doen zijn bijvoorbeeld hun haren verven in een onnatuurlijke haarkleur of hun lichaamsdelen aanpassen. Een voorbeeld hiervan is door je oorlellen of je lippen uit te rekken. Een ander manier om een unieke uitstraling te creëren is door zelf je eigen stijl te maken.

Straal jezelf uit

Kleding is er in allemaal soorten maten, kleuren en vormen. Wat je aan doet beschrijft voor een deel wie je bent. Daarnaast voelt iemand zich goed wanneer diegene een outfit aanheeft die die mooi vindt. Dit geldt al helemaal wanneer het een outfit is die zelfgemaakt is. Kleding ontwerpen, maken en aandoen kan iedereen. Tegenwoordig staan er namelijk zo veel filmpjes en informatie online dat je alles maar zou kunnen doen wat je wilt. Het maken van kleding dus ook.

Maak je eigen kleding

Kledingmerken zoals Gucci, Kenzo, Nike, Adidas en G-star zijn erg bekend, maar ook zij begonnen van de grond af aan. Zij hebben nu erg grote naamsbekendheid dus kunnen ze grootschalig te werk gaan. Echter wordt unieke kleding handgemaakt. Wanneer mensen kleding willen ontwerpen proberen zij dat zo gemakkelijk en snel mogelijk te doen. Wat bijvoorbeeld bij gebeurt bij het verkopen van shirtjes is dat mensen goedkoop shirtjes inkopen van redelijk kwaliteit materiaal, dit laten bedrukken en op de markt zetten. Het is lastig om dan naamsbekendheid te creëren aangezien miljoenen mensen het zo doen. Het zelf maken van kleding kost echter meer tijd en moeite, maar het zal meer voldoening geven en kan meer geld vragen voor de toegevoegde waarde.  Hierdoor val je op in de menigte en zou je zelf een eigen kledingmerk kunnen starten wanneer dat je doel wordt.

Modestoffen

Het maken van kleding is leuk maar men heeft natuurlijk materiaal daarvoor nodig. Er zijn talloze soorten stoffen en wevingen die daarvoor kunnen worden gebruikt. Hierdoor zijn er vele mogelijkheden om jouw kleding tot een uniek kunstwerk te maken. Een goed gebruikte weving is poplin katoen oekotex. Dit is een gladde zachte weving van polyester gemengd met een andere stof. Door de standaard oekotex 100 staat het vast dat de weving geen gevaarlijke chemicaliën bevatten.
